Volunteering

BSides runs on volunteers

Every BSides is built by volunteers, and BSides Burlington is no exception. Volunteering is one of the best ways to experience the event — you will learn, meet people across the community, and play a real part in making the day happen. No experience required, just enthusiasm.

Roles we need

Registration & welcome

Greet attendees, hand out badges, and be the friendly first face of the event.

Room hosts

Keep talks and workshops running on time and introduce speakers.

CTF & workshop crew

Help participants, hand out hints, and keep the hands-on rooms humming.

Setup & teardown

Help transform the venue before and after — many hands make light work.

Media & social

Photography, social posts, and capturing the day for those who could not make it.

Floaters

Wherever you are needed most — flexible and always appreciated.

What you get

  • A behind-the-scenes look at how a conference comes together
  • A great addition to your network — and your resume
  • The gratitude of the team and a community that remembers
  • Usually: a volunteer shirt, food, and good company

Volunteer shifts are flexible, and we will make sure you still get to see talks you care about.
